Les Bleaus Francais

With a triple entendre for a title and the entire lyric sung in French, this was an attempt by the Pants to appeal to a more sophisticated audience with a view to undertaking a tour of the Continent of Europe.

This idea was unashamedly stolen by Fairport Convention when they recorded Dylan’s If you gotta go in the same Gallic tongue.

In these recordings, Skid plays harp, Rock (being the only Phlegm Speaker) sings  à la Française, an unkown incompetent plays drums  (in place of Skid the Harpist) out of time, and the rest of the band do what’s required.

Many les cuisses de grenouilles and Garlic together with no small pastis were consumed during this most emotional period of recording.
